Dental Veneers
Whether you are looking for a subtle change or a dramatic smile makeover– dental veneers may offer the cosmetic change in your smile that you wish to see. Amherst dentists Dr. Karl Neuhaus and Dr. Walter Neuhaus use dental veneers to close spaces, repair chipped or broken teeth and to cover stains or discoloration that whitening can not achieve. Your smile’s aesthetics are important and can improve the quality of your life.
Types of Veneers
Composite Resin Veneers: Made of a biocompatible material, composite resin veneers will be matched to the natural color of your teeth. Composite Resin veneers are applied directly to the teeth and sculpted into place. Composite resin dental veneers require little to no tooth preparation and are not permanent.
Lumineers: These dental veneers require little to no tooth preparation and are removeable. Lumineers are not for everyone; Dr. Neuhaus will determine if this treatment is right for your dental health goals.
Porcelain Veneers: Porcelain veneers are a natural looking veneer option that are designed to last a lifetime. Translucent shells of tooth-like material are permanently bonded to the surface of the teeth. Dr. Neuhaus will shave down the surface of your teeth to securely bond the cosmetic veneer. Porcelain veneers are highly stain resistant and have similar light reflecting properties as natural teeth. It can be difficult to tell veneers apart from your natural teeth.
Who Is A Candidate for Veneers?
Veneers are ideal for patients who have cosmetic concerns about their smiles. Veneers can take years off of your smile making you appear younger. Dental veneers can offer you a new more confident smile in a relatively short amount of time. The entire dental veneer process generally takes about 2-3 weeks to complete.
